Very common in the Serra da Arrábida, known for its astonishing biodiversity and varied vegetation, Juniper (Juniperus communis) is one of the native species in the region.
The berries have a characteristic aroma and are used in culinary dishes and the production of alcoholic beverages such as Gin. They are harvested and used to flavor dishes and drinks, as well as used as a condiment in some regional recipes.
The Zimbral restaurant, with a cuisine inspired by Portuguese, African, and Asian flavors, presents an inclusive culinary experience that references Portugal’s history and its presence in these destinations. It leads to the discovery of delicacies that were once used as currency.
We are open every day, during the following hours:

At Zimbral, we can rely on the complete integration of all the produce from the Quinta’s garden, ensuring freshness and sustainable quality in the dishes prepared there, while respecting their seasonality.
